foam on water

    what is the nasty white brownish foam that bulds up in some lakes , i noticed a tone of it in my new hotspot

    my guess is that it's phosphates from detergent. It might come from a treated sewage outlet some where.

    all i know its filled in the dam, worse than any other, its nasty

    I think I've got your answer. If theres been a lot of rain the there may have been a sewage over flow (mmmmm corn fed cats lol) or there may be a new golf corse some where and there are watering with efluent that is running off into the lake. these are just educated guesses.

    It happen's on ALL lake's and resivour's it's just a part of the cycle.

    Bio degrading organic matter in the water Playing on the old law of physics, "opposites attract," when the water is churned and bubbled the charged gunk molecules "stick" to the bubbles, riding them up to the top of the water. Once the bubbles reach the surface air they burst, depositing their hitchhikers... making that foamy mass of the brown organic gunk your talking about.... it's natural.
