I have been finding some nice stuff in the eroded creek bank behind the house. We fish for a while and then do a little arrowhead hunting. We have found a good amount of flint chips and some points. Oddly enough we are finding some obsidian flakes and this something rare around here. They must have traded with someone that got it in Colorado. The Indians had an extensive trade network because much of what we find here is from Mo and the closest is from a small cache around Foreacre (80 miles away) and some Kay county chert...basically we have no flint here. I am really wanting to get out on the Arkansas after the water goes down. If anyone does a little point hunting in this area give me a shout...I'm always looking and it's better to have a buddy around for safety sake.
