What kinds of floats do you use when you decide to do some float fishing for channel cats. I use the Bobber with a brain, Boss bobbers, and regular old weighted cigar corks.

All of those will work well. You might want to throw in some cat bobbers that Gene sells on this site to round out your arsenal. Great bobbers at a great price and they will set the hook for you with circles, kahles or cycle hooks.

Go to the top left corner of this page and click on it. Go down to the BOC Sponsors section. Click on wild wolf products. Send a pm to Akwolf41 and he will get you fixed up. You can check out the testimonials for his products there.

Up until now always used slip-corks. I've heard so much about the BOBBER WITH A BRAIN that I ordered some. I'll let ya'll know how they do.

well if you get them for channels i use two hooks but when i target flaties i only use 1 because the baite get me tangled up when i use the big carp i use
great for rivers with minimal flow because they stay in place even with the wind or anything else and if they do move usually its something on the other end moving it

I use the 2 in cigar floats or the small crappie floats (if that's all I have) on my Carolina rigs....

I use a 2" to 3" cigar shaped crappie float. Either rigged as a slip cork or pegged in place. I love fishing rip rap with a slip cork rig during the spawn.
