alright im sure this method has been posted before however it is one of the most effective ways i know to catch giant Blues.
Its very simple but absolutly deadly. use a 1 or 2oz egg sinker and tie a barrel swivel below it with about 3 or 4ft leader with your favorite hook. im not gonna tell ya'll what kinda hook to use you know by now what you like. about halfway down the leader attach a crappie bobber then eather drift with the current or use a trolling motor to drift along deep chanels with the rig on the bottum. the float keeps the bait suspended just off the bottum you can adjust float to very depth of bait. this has proven time and time again to be a wicked method for catchin blues
