I've fished with Jack quite a few times now and i thought we pretty much agreed upon the baits needed to catch the big flats. Well today he broke out the secret weapon he uses when the fish don't want to cooperate. I couldn't get close enough to get a pic of the monsters he was catching but i do have a pic of his bait and one of him trying to hide while using it. :tounge_out:

As funny as this looks, there is alot of truth to it... Twister tails have caught a many flats for me esp. in the winter when targeting saugeyes... This looks crazy, but a white twister is tough at times, especially below lowhead dams!! rollo

i would think if you used the biggest white twister you can find, like a 6 inch would work good,... cuz i have caught some good flats on white gold fish:wink:

And there it is. Shoot throw the kitchen sink if nothing else has worked. If they are not hungry you can always aggravated into taking the hook. Kinda like bass on the bed, a lizard will work anytime nothing else will, just because of the perceived danger of the lizard taking the eggs. Good fishing, now where is that .....

makes good since to me a 2 hook rig Twister tail for action and a piece of cut bait for smell. Think it would work. You can bet your boots I'll be trying it.
