Flats are best caught in river systems with alot of structure/cover.

we fish all in the intercoastal and bayou bienvenue<---think thats how u spell it...we tear up the trout and reds with the live shrimp there...kinda sucks at30 bucks for 100 live shrimp...but thats mostly the only way to really rack up there. never caught any cats there besides gafftop.

Welcome to the BOC, Jon. Have a seat, and talk a spell. You'll get a lot of good info, and a lot of B.S.lol Most of it is good though.

Look for piles of rip rap, fallen trees, stumps etc, and put you a goggle eye, bluegill or goldfish on your hook and hang on.... The most important part ( LIVE BAIT FOR OPS ! ) Find some deep bends in the river, usually a good place to start !
