I like to do some fish for flatheads in the edisto river alot. I was wanting to know how high does the water temperature got to be for them to start coming shallow and feeding like they do in the spring an summer.

I hae never really ever caught flatheads shallow in the river. I always catch them in the deeper holes in the daylight or night. Buy April they should be feading hot n heavy. Good luck to ya.

Once the river comes down a bit you should be able to get some. I have caught flatheads in the Edisto from the end of March on. You could probably get them even earlier if you can get the bait, and catch the river with the water level fishable.

Good luck, and keep us posted!
