I was fishing a deep hole for flatheads today with live bluegill. I had a run like I've never seen in freshwater, ripping easily 75M of line in a few seconds, and as soon as I picked up the rod and engaged the reel, the fish dropped the bait. When i got the bait in, it was untouched by teeth or anything. What do you think it was? Maybe a musky?

A big BlueCat. Sometimes I reel in Blues on gills and there are no marks at all. This happens with Flatties too. Alot of time with smaller fish they knock the scales off.
