I have my best flathead fishing when it is cloudy outside.

I get skunked the most when the day is clear and sunny?

Do you guys have a weather preference when flathunting?

Right now mine would be for a blazing hot sun, with sweat running down my face. Course in 5 months I'll probably want something else. LOL

I like it best when the water's either WAY up from a storm, there's one goin' on, or one comin' in. That's just my best fishin' in general. And prefer it to be june or july. That way everything gets cooled off and gettin' wet ain't too bad.

Usually the hotter the better but even that can be extreme and uncomfortable. A nice May-August afternoon, evening in the 80's is my favorite time to go but that doesn't equal success.

whatever weather the fish are biting in is my favorite. But if I could choose I would take a night warm enough to not have to wear a sweatshirt.

I have my best luck with fish over 30lbs when the air temp is between 30 and 40 (keeps the non-dedicated away) lol, and the water temps between 50 and 60. Spring or fall no matter. If the water is cool and the air cooler bring on the big baits. And gloves

my favorite time is the night right before a cold front or a storm comes in.or a night with not much or no moonlight.
