Flathead Catfish

    Hey guys I'm from wilkes barre area and i'm wondering where is the closest area where I can catch flatheads. I'm willing to drive 2 hours to fish for these guys, cuz I always wanted to get one. I know the delaware and skuky have them but how far up do the flatheads run? any help we be great. :wink:

    not sure if there are any impoundments that hold flatheads in that area, all my flatheads have been caught out ouf the skuke, i live in berks county and drive an hour to catch them consistantly

    from my experince just about anybody can hold flatheads. you just have to fish the right spots with the rigbt bait. try live bluegills near heavy cover

    2 hours should be enough time to get to Philly.

    BLue Marsh is prob, the closest thing to you with Flatheads present.

    That would be awesome. All I need is a boat launch and I'm set. :roll_eyes:

    Boats are a pain in the behind, plenty of bank!

    But try to look on the Fish Commission site for Gladwyne and Blackrock launches.

    well if there is plenty of bank there then ill just bank fish around those launches. I'm just gunna have to use good judgement with the river for how deep and structure. :smile2:
