What you could do, is take a tape measure and measure the length of your upper chest ( where the head of the fish is in the picture) and measure the length to the floor ( where the tail of the fish is ) and look at a measurement to weight graph for flatheads and get the appox. weight of the fish your holding.

    Hope this helps.

Well there you go!! Now your neighbor will believe you!! Once again congrats and take the advise of getting a good, ACCURATE scale. Yeah, there a little costly, but it will make you an honest person, even to your neighbor!!

Jake it has taken me many years to get the amount of equipment I now own. I certainly couldn't have bought it all at the same time. When I get a little extra money....I go to the next item I wish to purchase. I had to save my money for a couple months before my latest purchase which was a Berkley 110lb digital scale......it is awesome to know excactly how much my fish weighs right down to the ounce. I can now say that hey I caught a 67.2 lb Flathead.....It just wouldn't sound the same if I was to say hey....I caught a 55 lb or maybe a 59 lb'er or it could've weighed over 60....so I'll call it a 65 lb'er. By asking what someone else thinks your fish weighs is not going to help with the correct weight. Pictures are decieving....the only way to know 100% for sure is to get a good set of digital scales that weigh at least to 100 lbs. So start saving your pennies and soon you'll be telling us what your fish weighed. Good Luck:big_smile:
