Has anyone used the Shakespeare Wild Cat spinning rods? If so, how sensative are they for using circle hooks? Are the tough enough for flatheads? I don't want a pool cue.

Don; IMHO,You have posted in the right spot, A rod is a rod, a reel is a reel.
This is where you ask ? about Rods..( Rod Review )I think.

As for the sensativity of the ( the Spinning Shakespeare Wild Cat Rod ) I could not say, but they have been around for a long time.
If its rated MH/H - 15-25#, 20-40# Either one, I would think it will handle a flathead..

    Don,

Frist of all welcome to the BOC from So. Alabama

I look up the Wild Cat Rod and thats a new line it looks like they are replaceing the Cat Stik Rod with the Wild Cat It has the same ratings and if that is so they will be a good rood . I have two of the 8' Cat Stiks with 7000c3 pro rockets and like them very well.

    Hope this helps,

    Harold
