Flathead Catfish from this week

    My cousins pb 21 lbs, and my 6 pounder. i also lost one my cousin caught at the bank because i didnt grab it soon enough. smaller ones both caught on nightcrawlers and bigger one caught on live gill. all from tims ford lake.

    I didn't realize Tims Ford had that kind of quality flatheads. Thanks for the report.

    thanx guys!! we've caught quite a few good flatheads in tims ford. i always thought tims was too clear until we found the right bay and started catchin all of 'em lol

    I noticed that you have your flatties away from the water. Do you eat them from Tims Ford? Seems like I read about fish contamination there. I could be wrong.

    My bad, it was Woods Reservoir that had the advisory. Munch on.

    i've read that too, woods is contaminated but tims is not somehow lol seeing how they are connected by the elk river. we didn't eat those fish, we live really close to the lake so we took pics and released the fish as fast as we could and both fish swam off happy to get bigger so we can catch them again lol :wink::smile2:
