flathead catfish fishing in pleasant

    anybody know if you can reach the river above pleasant in a 2wheel drive truck through table mesa rd and how good the flathead fishing is there

    The road should be ok, but I can't tell you about the fishing. I have never fished cats there.

    I do know the county closed this road due to litter bugs. Check with them before you go.

    Here's a couple of photos (from my book!) from a place on the exrteme north end of the lake called Indian Mesa. A 2wd will make it unless it's muddy. From the trailhead, off of Table Mesa Rd. It's probably 4-5 miles to the lake, hiking along the river. You can clearly see the lake below at what would be the northern boundary of the Blad Eagle enclosure. Your best bet, from what I could see, would be to make the approach by boat from the main lake. Don't think too many folks fish up there.
