I am use to fishing for flathead in the river, but I hav'nt done much lake fishing at elk resorvoir. whats the fishing like on the actual lake? anybody have any tips, or suggestions for me? I know there has to be some huge flathead in there, the kansas state record 123# flathead came from that spillway. there has to be some more huge fish in the lake. I just never hear of or see anybody fishing flathead in the lake, and I am wondering if anybody knows why?

The record came from the lake. I know there are large flats in there. I would use large live baits and setup near any structure near the river channel. A bait in the channel and a couple of baits in the shallows next to the channel. It realy depends on what time of year you are going after em........
