Well This last week Mr Hathaway cought a #48 pound flat in the channel side of the river up around Blenco Iowa which is about 55 miles north of omaha Nebraska. And last night Jimmy Raughs son was fishing off the bank and cought a Flathead that was 37 1/2 inches long, in the same general area They diden't weigh it because the diden't have a scale so they just measured it. Both Flats were released to be grow bigger and be caught again. Both I believe were caught on Fresh cut bait, Not for sure though. Was Just sorta curious what would an average 37 1/2 inch Flathead Weigh? J.D.

I would say 37 inches is around 25 pounds.
