Spent part of Friday and all day Saturday withing with Jim Veto. He stopped in on his way back home from Atlanta Friday. We didn't do too good Friday, but we got him a new personal best Saturday...twice. I know he's probably got some pics to share, but I have 3 or 4 I'd like to share.

1st pic is Jim's 10 lb Bluecat. His previous personal best was about 4 lbs. This was a nice one to beat it with. 10 lber fought like a bigger fish. Jim had fun with it. Was acting like a little kid after it was all over.

2nd pic is a pic of the scale with the weight of his 10 lber in it.

3rd pic is just one of the places we fish on the Cumberland River. Miles of banks like that.

We started the day our by trying to catch a few skipjacks. We managed 4 or 5 and that's it. Also caught some shad too. We then worked from a place called Guice Creek upstream to the Carbondale area. Had a ton of current for a change and the wind wasn't real bad. We had a good time and I think Jim was happy with his day as well. Glad to see him finally break that 5 lb barrier.

Bob also set himself a new personal best Saturday. He caught what we call a "0....6" fish. 0 feet and 6 inch blue cat. As you can see, he was proudly displaying it for the camera! LOL

    1st pic is Bob's fish

    2nd pic is a 13 lb blue I caught.

3rd is the weight for the 13 lber.

    Last two pics

    1st one is a 15 lber I caught

    2nd one is the weight.

The Coffey scales worked like a champ. Very good investment for fishing.

Tell Bob, If he's going to keep catching those big ones he better switch to braided line and bigger hooks:lol: . And congratulations to Jim on his two PB's and your 15 lber.

Thanks Whistler both for the fun time on the river and for finding me a spot to boat my personal best, twice in one day!! I felt like a kid in a candy store!!

However, seeing as though I stole his place on the boat, I seem to remember hearing a vague promise that Bob's catch wouldn't ever be seen on the board. Hmmmmmm, must of had your fingers crossed behind your back when you made that promise. LOL You better be watching out over your shoulder or Bob might sneak up on you with one of those eight ounce sinkers. That would certainly leave a mark!! LOL

I'm sorry to point this out brothers but Bryan is a liar. The pics are all faked (except for Bob's.) There is no way anyone ever catches anything with Bryan except maybe a cold.

Good job Veets! Hope we can break that PB on the Rock one day this year.
