Fishing with corn for catfish/carp?

    I was trying to fish with corn today so mybe i could catch some carp for bait.The problem is i couldnt keep it on the hook,everytime i cast it all just comes off.Is there anyway to keep the corn from comming off the hook?thanks

    The corn is a real pain in the butt. You need a solid baitholder hook with a few barbs. Just line the corn up like you are stringing a necklace or something. Using the corn lengthwise on the hook, usually helps to keep it on longer. Hint: soak that corn in some strawberry kool-aid for a few hours and tell me what you think.:cool:

    youll catch loads of bait fish with that rig using corn

    failing that use maise its a bit tougher than can corn

    Do you make the kool-aid as if you was going to drink it then soak the corn in it or do you just add the kool-aid powder to the corn?
