Anyone ever fish the willow fly hatching's for bream?

Spent the last week wearing out my fly rod chasing the willow fly's all over the Alabama river.

Caught my limit everyday and released hundreds of slab blue gill. Got my freezer full of slab blue gill and had a blast. It dont get no better than that. Unless its landing a 50lb+ Flathead:big_smile:

If you fly fish whats is your favorite fly. Myself i like a Blue gill special popping bug in yellow or white.

    Hey Stoney

Your right about that. Love top eat me a good mess of bream. Its easy to understand why the big cats love them do much.

I like terrestrials. I use a Black Ant, San Juan Worm, or a small foam beetle.
