    Welcome, Jack
I haven't been down there but I'm trying to get to the Ohio sometime this year. I'd be interested in some bank areas around Portsmouth, too.

    Welcome aboard Jack!

I haven't fished down that far but I do a lot of bank fishing from Russell to the Greenup locks. If you can stand the people try down by the locks. If not there are some pretty decent bank spots farther up river.

I would try behind the flood wall in portsmouth where the scioto dumps into the ohio.

I don't know if it is accessible or not but you may want to cross over to the KY side and go about 3 miles down river from the mouth of the Scioto. There is an old lock/dam on the outside bend of the river. There is a good stretch there that you could cast about 25'-30' out with a float and walk it along the bank or try bottem fishing.
