blues must already be on their spawn. fished today got 5 fish 3 small flaties, 2 small chanels. another buddy of mine was out two in his boat, and it was the same deal for him. he did catch a few more fish than we did anyhow. Just has'nt been the fishing year i was looking foward too, by any means. I think it will get worst before it gets better. gonna be watching the boc for ky. to see if anyone gets any blues this weekend. mabey it was just us who knows.

yeah, work thats the worst.but the way this year has started it has'nt been much fun.

I caught a 47 lb. blue cat last weekend. She was in the big rocks, in 30 ' of water. Very fat fish. I think that she was close to spawning. Going out tomorrow and target spawning areas. Been hitting the smaller flat heads and channel cats in 20' or less.

dont be so quick to give up, if it were easy it wouldnt be called fishing. try new spots and hit 35 and 40 ft of water, thats where we caught the 5 blues today, a 21, and 4 others right around ten. hope this helps and good luck

Been pretty bad on my end since the river went back up.Is there a secret to catching Spawning fish if so please help me out,been out 4 times since Thur. night ,fished with skips,shad and gills. 6 fish 2 blues 12 and 17lbs and 4 channels.Not good for my area.HELP

i'd never give up, think im going again to night. maybe they will bite better after dark. but if not i wont get cooked in the sun so i cant lose. looking foward to getting a big boy! (wishful thinking) anyway will post tom. and let everyone know.
