Grateful Dead - Europe '72

Taj Mahal Fishing Blues
Jimi Hendrix Catfish Blues
Doobies Black Water
Allmans Blue Sky
of course, Born on the Bayou is a good one too
I love Blues music and throughout the years, I bet I have heard a hundred songs that have some thing to do with fishing. Try these ones on for a start!Muddy Waters - Catfish Blues, Taj Mahal - Fishing Blues, Koko Taylor- Fishing Blues, Esther Phillips - Just Like A Fish, Elvin Bishop - Fishin, BB King -Catfish Blues, Koko Taylor - Fish In Dirty Water, Lightning Hopkins - Fishin Clothes, Wynonie Harris - Women Whiskey & Fishtails - Fish Tail blues, Big Walter Horton - Everybody's Fishin', I got a few more but I willl leave a few for T-Bone If he see's this post!
My favorite is Beer, Bait, and Ammo, but I don't know who sings it.(And I don't hardly even drink)
that's kevin fowler
Another good one is Little Feat - Feats Don't Fail Me Now
'Fishin' In The Dark' by The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band
Ya that's a good one. I like something with a groove for on the water.
Thanks Phillip, you named the ones I'm thinkin' about. So let me tell ya about a blues song sung by a country guy here from Texas. Jon Boat Blues by Jason Allen, cool lil song about being born in a jon boat. Or here's another Texas Boy. Robert Earl Keen Jr. 5lb. Bass
Brad Paseley - "I'm gonna miss her!"
Delta, I was thinking of Catfish blues (muddy waters) myself. Just made a blues CD and it's one of the songs I put on it.
I'm having a brain cramp. Who sings "I'm gonna miss her" ?
I am into the Blues also. I have went to concerts by Muddy Waters, Hound Dog Taylor, and The Original King Biscuit Boys. But, the fishing song I like the best is by the bluegrass musician Doc Watson called "I Am Going Fishing". He sings " you can catch a big fish if you have good bait" just like on my signature on this board.
Brad Paisley sing the The Fishing Song (I'm gonna miss her). My all time favorite is the song by Don Williams "Catfish Bates"
A couple of years ago, I got a cd for Christmas called "A Fisherman's Christmas Carols", it has on it, "Hark some lines that angels fling", "Ho, Ho Ho A Fishing we will go", "We wish you would clean our fish miss" (lol) "Check below the deck for rollie" (U.K) "I saw three fish" and last but not least, "A fishermans prayer"
Id have to say that Fishin In the Dark has to be my all-time fav fishing song :0a23:
It hard to go wrong w/ some Mountain Music, Fish'n in the Dark, and I'm Gonna Miss Her.
Drum, I'm with ya on "Mountain Music". I like to listen to another good ALABAMA song, "Tennessee River" and a little HANK JR. "A country boy can survive" . Well we all know the words to this song about catchin' catfish and runnin' trotlines!
I'll 2nd that one!
Question for ya Phil. Is it Catfish Blues or Rollin' Stone by Muddy Waters ?
I've got a cd of his and the title is called Rollin' Stone. Some one tried to tell me Jimmi Hendrix wrote the song Catfish Blues but I know it was this song and Muddy did it first, right ?
