So lately I have been getting the skunk at the local Lake Miramar in San Diego Ca. The colder weather here has ultimately shut down the bite (48-60 degrees). In the summer and late summer, the cats were hitting great off shore, with average 5lb and largest 12lb. Now nothing. I am thinking there down deep just saving energy and I will need to just throw the bait in front of them. I have been using large pieces of Bonita, with a small free egg weight (1/2 oz to 1 oz) with a 2/0 or 3/0 hook. The lake is pretty deep, over 100 ft. at points. Any suggestions on finding these cats? I have a boat, so thats not a problem.
