Went yesterday with Aaron (son) and caught a few despite there was no wind.:confused2:

Had a lot of bites but they would hit once or twice then quit.

We ended up with 7 biggest was 8lbs and one 7.5.

    Missed about 6-7.

Netted about 150 BIG shad....My freezer is full.

I know them darker big limped ones are most likely males, but i dont know. Most of them have been that golden color.Pretty lookin channels.

Caught one today also golden color.

Might be the depth of the water their coming out of??

Congrats Tom and Aaron. Nice Channels. I need to get me some shad. I just drove over 435 and saw a boat anchored up on the North side, and about 10 people spread all around down there. When I got further North, I could see about 7 vehicles parked down there. That usually tells me that the channels are starting to move up on the dam.

OK..OK Tom I get the hint.... the bite was slow , for me dang things seemed to just pick the bait up and drop it (small tugs, hits) I didn't hook a one just wasn't my day I suppose. Tom on the other hand may just may be a catfishermans cat fisherman got the fish and let me have em ,as he said he caught six in all , the largest was 5 1/4 lb a couple 3 lb-ish then smaller good eatin size I had a good time and got fish I cant complain, my day will come (hope soon)..:smile2::smile2: thanks again for taking me Tom

Glad you guys got into them. Them's some good lookn fish Tom.
We spent 4 or 5 hours fishn 4 spots at ElDorado, and only had a few bites, mostly on worms. Couldn't find any fresh shad, so we had to use the store bought frozen stuff. Didn't catch anything but had a nice day anyway, once we found a place out of the wind.

Hey Kyle, heres a couple of my snags I been telling you about. Lotsa potential

Nice fish Tom. I wish I could have gotten on the water and done some fishing this weekend but duty calls:sad2:. How deep of water are you getting shad out of?
