White bass were the hot ticket again this past week. Those who fished up the canadian arm of the lake fared well with jerk baits, crank baits , and minnows suspended under bobbers at depths of 2-10 feet.Fishing for crappie was fair using jigs and minnows. The wallwye are beginning to move into shallower water for the spawn.Anglers did well working 5-20 foot depths with minnows and assortedcrank baits.Bass fishing has been good using tubes, jerk baits, spinnerbaits, jigs, and crankbaits.

This was taken from the Quay County Sun newspaper on march 28 edition

Do you do any white bass fishing Richard? When we were out in Kansas my wife and i would go white bass fishing this time of year. They were so thick comming up the river that youd catch one every cast. I used to love to sit on the bank and watch my wife catch fish she was like a kid in a candy store!!
