Fishing partner needed

I’ve been all over the site from fixing up my 16/52 all the way to leader line. I’m about geared up and ready to go. I have someone that likes to fish with me but he heads back up north for the summer. I’m 57 years old and like going during the weekdays w it’s not crowded. My wife worries when I go solo. I’m looking for someone who would like to fish that may or may may not have a boat. If you’re catfish savvy that’s a plus or we can learn together. I’m in Smithville,Texas. There’s bass in Lake Bastrop but haven’t had luck finding cats. And Fayette county is right up the road whi holds catfish but stays crowded with bass boats usually. Then there’s the Colorado river that I intend to investigate. I like making the drive to Somerville because it’s usually worth it. I was catching cats on it drift fishing before I had to park the boat and work on it.
My boat isn’t anything fancy. 1983 16/52 Monark with a 40hp Monark. Now rigged out for night fishing. Somerville is good for crappie, catfish, stripers etc. I plan to spend time fishing for big blue cats and set up for drifting, trolling. Depending on conditions. My boat being what it is will not be going on real windy days even though it rides well on top of the waves I’m not going to beat it up. If you’re in the area or within driving distance to any of the areas heck you may know of other spots we could meet on the river.
P.M. me if you like or reply on here if you’re tired of going solo or looking for someone with a boat and we can visit.
