Fishing Log Jams in a river

    Has anyone came up with a good way to fish the down stream side of a log jam yet. We always fish the up-stream side but it looks like if the fish are using them for current breaks you would do better on the downstream side

    you want to fish the upstream side so the current can take the scent of your bait into the logpile. if you fish the downstream side the fish wouldn't know it was there.

    i was taught that agrressive fish go to the front of the hole
    but i have caught fish on both sides before

    I agree with Randy and Gus. I never fish the down stream side of a log jam.All nice my nice Flats have come on the up stream side. ALLEN
