fishing line

    Yes when i fish high water.
    With my clicker on.Myline just keeps coming out.
    How can i prevent this?
    I always do a sinker bead swial 12ins of line then hook.

    line has little to do with you freespool clicker being pulled out randy.. yes, the drag of mono is a little more than the tight braids out there nowdays, like fireline, or powerpro.. however, if your reels are like those i use Abu Garcia 6500's - 10000 Big game models they have a spool tightning knob that you can increase the drag on the spool to help in heavier current.. if the current is too much you can also leave the baitcast reel in clicker mode, but loosen the star fighting drag enough to hold your line and bait.. but, you would have to tighten for the hookset.. hope this help some.. shoot me a pm if you need more help..rollo

    My reels do have the tightning knob .They are tight .

    randy, being it is the off season and you live close to me.. why don't you bring you rods and reels over and i will try to setup your outfits to the best of my knowledge.. i have a few things we can add to your poles and reels if we can't get enough drag for them .. rollo

    Yeah closing the bail with the clicker on and easing up on the drag works great, I was actually shown that last weekend and couldnt believe I hadn't thought of it sooner...:eek:oooh:

    there are many lines and reels for every species and tactics towards them, it's all the matter of finding what is working for you... i sent you a p.m randy with my cell.. give me a call and im sure we can get you setup good for next year...rollo
