Took my wife fishing last nite. You all probably know exactly what happened. She caught all the fish and I caught zero. We ran into some pretty good action at Patagonia for the first time in qquite a while. I had quite a few runs, but just couldn't keep a hookup for long. Maybe it was the pressure of her "kicking my butt". Luck to all.

Wow Rick! I would be devestated if my wife ever did that to me. Shoot, I bet your wife will want to go fishing with you all the time now. You might want to go ahead and start selling off your poles and tackle. Now ain't that just aweful!?

LOL, I'm just messing with you. Looks like you all had a good night. Those are some real beauties and those two are bigger fish then I have EVER caught!

Did you keep them and eat them or CPR them?

Let us know how it goes NEXT time!
    Good luck to you both!

    Hi Rick,
Good job catching those nice looking flattys..
    Question for you:

    * I have tried to get my wife hooked up with a flatty.. But she can't seem to set the hook hard enough to bury the hook. Do you put Circle hooks on your wife's rig, or does she set the hook?
    * Any advise in getting my wife her first flatty would be appreciated..
    Thanks!

Hi Andy....we use 6.0 Gamakatsu Octopus hooks. They are kinda like a circle hook, just a little more open. I get them at Sportsmans Whse. Good Luck...........Rick

Fishing at Patagonia last night was really slow for flatheads.
Only caught two small ones. Four and eight pounds. Guess who caught the eight pounder. If you want a mess of big bluegills, now is the time. We caught lots and lots of "hand " size and bigger gills. I attached a picture of the sunset cause that was the best thing that happened last nite...........Rick
