Excuses are like "...holes" So i went out fishing on the mississippi saturday despite the high water and multiple logs comin down. Me and a buddy caught 7 channels in about 2 hours for about 20#. All fish caught in about 8-14 feet of water, still in current, but on the edges and getting away with using a 1 and 1/2 oz sinker. (the main channel would require a 1/2 pound now).

I was curious as to how others might approach similar conditions on a river that is almost in flood stage, fast water and full of debris?
