Fishing by the Overflow drain

    My pond has a 7 inch pvc overflow pipe that ususally sticks about 5 inches out of the water when it is at the right level. S the drain only working up top or should I fish by it....do you think there is rocks down there at its base it is the deepest part of the pond. 20 ft.

    Usually they are just buried in dirt. Hard to say if the person who built your pond would go the extra mile by having rock hauled in and put around the overflow. Unless there was a lot of rocks, I don't think it would have added that much structure to the pond. Time they pay for a bulldozer, most people won't pay another couple hundred to have rock hauled. Fish around it and see if it is any better than other locations in the pond.
