Chris (catfishchris) and I headed out last night at around 4:30 to do some fishing. We didn't catch any monster but had a good night and Chris put us on 10 fish. We saw some lightning in the distance at around 12:30 and decided to call it a night. We drove back to the ramp and I could smell gasoline while we were headed up the river. We got to the ramp and I could see some red lights under the water and Chris said "its a vehicle". It was completely under water with spare tire floating above it and the antenna sticking up. I dialed 911 and within 5 minutes the first police car showed up followed by an ambulance, two fire trucks a bunch of rescue workers and paramedics. It looked like a scene from a movie. Chris let them use his boat to go out and see if there was anyone still in the vehicle and luckily there wasn't. That storm we were trying to miss caught up to us while they were working on the truck and it was pouring rain and lightning everywhere. I took a pic of the truck as they pulled it out with my cell phone.

It just go's to show that you never know what is going to happen on a trip to the Miss.

Good job at getting everyone there in a hurry to be sure tho.

It did, man I was really hoping that no one was in there. I guess someone just took it for a joy ride or wanted to collect on some insurance. I thought I netted a purse but when the cops opened it up it was filled with cds. I am sure glad we saw it instead of just running over it. Chris said he could see it pretty good on the fish finder.:smile2:

Chris said it looked like a box and he could see the antena coming up. I wish they just would of dumped it in the Miss so I could have a new spot, I imagine that would hold some nice cats after a while.:tounge_out:

I cannot tell a lie. I parked that truck at the bottom of that pool of water. Now Sherrif Obie has 27 8X10 color glossy photos, with circles and arrows and a paragraph on the back explainin what they are about. Sheriff Obie and his seeing eye dog were quick to respond. A clear cut case of blind American justice.

You can only do what your good at. The cards appear quite good at making the Mets look like champs.

Hey Jer, lets go fishing! It'll be better this time I swear!

    Can't be much worse!

You'll need a license this time though.

We'll take your boat so I can get some sleep.
