Hit the river tonight, rough start to say the least. Forgot the bait poles, cast net, bait bucket, and bait for bait, Lol. Turned a rock for a worm, made a cane pole and caught some gills, and used a sinker, fishing string, and a stick to make a stringer. Lol

Gill one took off, my uncles, about a 4lb smallie.

Gill two took off, small channel, the gill was bigger than it's mouth. o_O

Gill three took off, my best flattie to date. Not sure of the weight, but it was 31 inches.

I caught him at 8:30 on the nose. I think that's about the time everyone was calling "Bite Thirty" last year?

We also had some shad with us, and got a lot of hits on them, but no real takers. It's just that time of year I suppose. We were going to pull an all nighter but once we seen the clouds rolling in we decided against it.

Nice job! I admire your persistence! If I would have forgot all that stuff I think I would have ended up at Dairy Queen eating a Blizzard!

Think you got an early one... "bite thirty" this time of year is 9:30-10:30.
