Dremer, I purchased a silstar 16' surf rod (without reel) off ebay about 6 months ago. Really like the rod. Good price also...lol

Is the silstar a rxb 70 if it is this is a good reel i use them and i like them alot cheaper than some of the other models have caught numerous flatheads over thirty pounds with this reel.

fishbonz combos are decent... wouldn't use them for much larger then about 20 lb fish... though my old PB channel came in on one... I bought them as a cheap way of letting my friends have a rod to use when we go out fishing and i end up using them my self when i go out fishing sometimes... i would recommend getting another cheap reel though if you really want to do alot of catfishing with it... (my suggestion would be shakespeare Alphas)

Bought 2 off Ebay for 15.00. Not many bids when I got mine because the description was vague. Second year using them and they work great for me. Haven't gotten anything over 5 pounds yet.
