Lets say you have a fish trap and was wanting to catch bullheads. What would you use for bait?

Go to Wal Mart & buy a few cans of Ole Roy dogfood. Just open the top of the can up a little bit, and pitch it in your trap. It works like a champ for perch, and I imagine bullheads would want it even more than perch.

    Very cheap, too.

An old guy that uses a trap close to me puts raw bacon in his trap. He catches bullheads and crawdads. Cruisen man used the gravy train type dog food in his and caught a few. Good luck

I would also call/email the state fisheries and see if bullhead was considered a gamefish....I know in Mississippi, if you catch gamefish in a trap, you better be caught turning them loose again...Or you're busted.....So, take it easy and watch what you're doing....Dwight
