fish the rain, maumee river 8-19

    hit the river while it was up, boy did it pay off. landed nine flatties, biggest was 37lbs. (new p.b.) most were mid 20's. well worth putting on the rain gear and leaving the camera in the car. hope some more of you got in on the action this week, they sure were hungry. bait of choice - 6-10 inch creek chubs. btw finally got the internet again. m.

    doing a lot better than me!! hav'nt got any over 16 since the spawn and i've tried from waterville to the dam!! guess i'm not looking hard enough!!

    had been tough for me too, until this week. i think that rain had them on their first major feed since spawning. i haven't had any luck below the dam after mid june.

    water was up around here too......did fairly well...nothin over 15lbs but caught around 8 or 9 in a 4 hour period....weathers changing fast wich means more and bigger fish....keep hittin the waters
