Inspired by a post in the channel cat forums I thought it might be fun to share what fish youve caught, and what you plan to catch.

    Fresh water species ive caught:

    Blue catfish
    Flathead catfish
    Channel catfish
    Bullhead catfish
    Buffalo
    Carp
    Freshwater drum
    Rainbow trout
    Spotted Gar
    Shad
    Many perch species
    Crappie
    Black Bass
    White Bass
    Striper Bass
    Hybrid bass

Freshwater species I hope to catch sometime:

    Spoonbill
    Walleye
    Pike

    Salt water species Ive caught:

    Hammerhead shark
    Reef Shark
    King Mackarel
    Spanish Mackarel
    Striped Marlin
    Mahi Mahi / Dorado
    Bonita
    Red Grouper
    Black Grouper
    Strawberry Grouper
    Jack Crevalle
    Red Snapper
    Lane Snapper
    Yellow Snapper
    Mongrel Snapper
    Rays
    All the common dock fish.
    Eels
    Barracuda

Saltwater species Id like to catch:

    Mako Shark
    Tarpon
    Blackfin Tuna
    Yellowfin Tuna
    Bluefin Tuna
    Sailfish
    Jewfish(Goliath Grouper)

Personally my favorite, most memeriable fish would have to be my striped marlin, and my first big blue catfish.

The fish I plan to knock off my wish list soon are possibly the yellow and blackfin tuna. I am taking a trip to Cabo San Lucas in December for Tuna fish, which is where I cuaght my Marlin and Mahi Mahi last year. My other dream fish is the Jewfish. Ive always been fond of catching one of those. I hear they can really put of a struggle and get over 300-400#s quite often.

Was that my post that inspired you, the one with the drawing? I agree with you about the paddlefish. I would kill to catch one, but they don't exist in the stream I fish.

Some day I will catch a Goliath Grouper. If I remember the show I saw them on correctly, they get as big as 600lbs. That, or someday go back to Africa and catch one of the world's largest freshwater fish, the Nile Perch.

Yeah the goliath grouper at record size are around 600-700 #'s unfortunitly from overharvesting ive been told its very rare to find one over 500.

They have a 300ish # one on display in a Florida Aquarium I went to years ago. They said it had been in there care for something like 30+ years. The hand feed the fish there including a baracuda, Snapper species and the Grouper. They use a chain mail glove when feeding the Cuda.
