fish in Wabash

    Can or do you eat fish out of the Wabash River south of Kokomo....?:confused2:
    Whay about the Tippcanoe River?

    I don't know that I would be very inclined to eat anything out of the Wabash, but it's likely one meal of smaller fish wouldn't hurt you. Tippecanoe River is likely better. DNR publishes a list of edible and non edible waters and to what degree they are safe to eat from.

    As for the Tippecanoe, I don't beleive there are any Group 5 restrictions (the DO NOT EAT category) for any fish, including cats. Unfortunately, there is some PCB contamination and advisories have been issued in the past for larger fish.

    thanks fellas for the input....fact is though now I'm discouraged about even going there now. I like to eat the cats I catch. so I guess I'll have to find a clean place to fish.:confused2:
