Alright where youu guys at?

Fishgeek emailed me yesterday and was excited about fishing the flood... I haven't heard from him today and now I'm a bit worried about the two, if they fished... the river would have been too dangerous.

Yeah man! We went out! Actually, the river up here was the same level it's been for over a month now. I guess its one of the (very few) perks of being so close to 3 flood control reservoirs...if the Army Corps of Engineers wants the river to be at 4905 cubic feet per second, by God that's where its gonna' stay LOL!

I was going to post the results of the trip when I got home but we rolled into my place about 7am and by that time the wife & kids were up and I had to be to work by 9am. Never got a chance to get on here. Sorry for worrying you DrPepper! It turned out to be a beautiful night on the river!

We did OK. Boated 4 small flatties & a channel. The flatheads were 5, 6, 7.5, and 9 pounds -- all females. The channel (also a female) weighed almost 7 pounds. Fullstringer has the pics but they're really not worth posting. We're going to try it again on Monday.

Thanks for the lookout Bill.:act-up: Matts been known to try to turn over boats on the wabash, but when the river is up as high as it was he was actually very cautious. Ohh and thanks Bill for all the fishing pointers it gave us a new perspective for high water fishing.
