All my life I've had to work on nice days like this during the week and now I'm taking advantage of being retarded.I got to thinking of the best place to catch some channels while the waters still cold and settled on the mouth of Village creek where it joins Neosho river.I used to fish it a lot but its hard to get to now and I cant tell that anyone has fished it for a long time. They were biting real well on turkey livers but weren't very aggressive. They would tap it lightly and I would feed them line til they took it.It was behind a levee so the wind didnt bother me.Heres some pictures of Brown Wells dam,the mouth of creek and the fish.Very enjoyable day,now when my daughter gets out of school she will want to go.I think I will take them to lake Fegan tomorrow.
