What is the best unit with gps for 800 dollars or less?
Lowrance LMS 525c df, hands down, in my opinion. :smile2:
I just picked up a Lowrance LMS 520C, was on sale and it included an external antenna for the GPS, such a difference that made.
I am not sure of an exact model, but you should be able to get a real nice one for that type of money.
I got a Humminbird 981c SI for around 700 and paid 90 for the GPS, wouldn't trade it for the world..
Come up with about $30 more and you can get a Hummingbird 797C2 SI from our sponsor, thenerds.net: http://www.thenerds.net/HUMMINGBIRD_LTD.JohnsonOutdoors_797c2_SI_Combo_Marine_GPS.4067701.html
Wait until the weekend and they will offer shipping for something like $3.99
Edit: Just noticed that you asked back in January, hope you found something nice, lol.
That is a great suggestion Gary. The Nerds are offering free shipping to the BOC Members so you don't have to wait till the weekend to get a deal on shipping. For more info click here: The Nerds BOC Sponsor Page
They are who I got my 997 from and I got great service from them and they weren't even a BOC sponsor at the time. Great Company to deal with then and even better deal for us now with the free shipping.
