When placing fish basket is it best for them to be in the curret on not?
i'm no expert, but i believe they were intended for use in current. i personally prefer a slight current, when using a basket, not too much though. that is assuming, that you are trying to keep them alive.
THanks, I tried both and been catching about the same in both places
Make sure your basket entrance is facing down stream....Hope this helps..
I like to use it in a moderate current with the opening facing the current.
I like fries in my fish basket.
Can you guys explain what a fish basket is, to a dummy from west texas? I was thinking that it was the wire basket you use to keep bait and fish alive. The ones you throw over the side of the boat. After reading the thread, i am not so sure?
2ft x 6ft traps that you pack full of old cheese. Check them a couple days later and they are usually full of catfish (eating size) The baskets I got will hold about 120 cats a time. Usually I leave them out for three to four days at a time. I have a couple baskets forsale if anybody is wanting some.
120 fish? 3 or 4 days? RUN FOR COVER!!!!!!!
What is it hard for you to believe? Thats alabama fishing!!
Now if i could catch 120 cats on rod and reel in 3 or 4 days I'd be the happiest guy on earth.
Never had that kind of luck on rod and reel. But I agree with you I'd be pretty happy.
