Well I'm gonna chance the thunderstorms called for and try the Allegheny river for the first time tonight below Ford City. Hope I'll have a glowing report on how I do tomorrow.

Hopefully you will nail a few. A lot of the time when a front comes through the fish start to bite.

Well our first excursion didn't go as well as I hoped but its early yet. We arrived around 7:00 and fished until around midnight. The only two bites we had ended up being mud puppies. We did however get a chance to talk to a local waterways conservation officer who was checking out garbage that had been dumped by some idiots. Its a shame some people want to literally trash areas and then complain when people post their property and close good fishing holes. I will say that he was one of the nicest WCO's that I've come across. Hope to get back to the river soon.
