went to Twin Lakes just west of lincoln nebraska, started about 1:30, didnt catch any cats and that was what i was targeting, but did catch about 30 - 40 crappie, most were in the 8-9" range, then about 5ish???, thunder began to roll, rain began to fall, i put on my slicker and decided to see if it was a small storm, within 10-15 minutes it was pouring with nickel size hail and what i guessed to be 50 mph wind ( radio in the car later said 60mph) wind blew my night crawlers away, tiped my minnow bucket over, lost all my minnows, several chub, and one pumpkinseed that i caught and was gunna use for bait, on the road out a tree had been blow over, and several areas were begining to flood. durn, mad i lost all my bait!!!

    happy fishing all

Welcome to the BOC,and look at it this way. You may have lost your bait but in a storm like that count your blessings. At least you made it back safe ,and be able to go do it again. So my friend it wasn't a totol loss.

Welcome, Alex...glad you're here and thanks for the fishin report:cool2:

Glad you got out of that situation safe and sound! That flooding is nuthin to mess with. No storms in our area today, but plenty of high winds... kinda wears ya out after awhile.

Oh, and we lost our minnow bucket today... it was full of shad and hangin down in the water... the handle broke and whoosh... it was gone:confused2: So I know how you feel about losin the bait, but it's all just part of the joys of fishin  Enjoy the BOC !

Hi Alex! Welcome to the Brotherhood of Catfishermen family. We're glad to have you :smile2:. What a DAY! Hopefully your next fishing trip will be a bit more pleasant, although that sounds like a nice mess of crappie. YUM .
