I hit the river today with my buddy and BOC member Salmonid to practice some drifting. The day started out real nice, the river was nice and calm and the temps werent too hot. That didnt last long. The fishing was pretty decent though. We fished for about 5 hours and were able to boat 6 fish. Salmonid (Mark) was able to land his first Ohio river blue. We had 5 blues and 1 flathead, all came off live shad. We had a 17 pounder, 2 13 pounders, and 3 fish in the 8 to 9 pound range. Nothing huge, but it was nice to catch some fish, I have really been struggling this year, and we are both pretty new to drifting. Here are some pics.
