First flathead catfish

    i already posted this on the illinois forum but i thought i would share it with yall on here.Finally got first flathead. Me and a bud caught this on Rend Lake this weekend on a trot line. i hope to get one this big on a rod n reel next.

    we caught him using cut shad which was pretty weird because i thought they only bit on live bait. everytime i go out i put out a pole with live bluegill and always get nothin then when im not tryin for flats i catch one....lol....go figure.
