Went out Saturday on the Big Nut, got wet as all get out, and spent a good part of the night dodging lightening, but did manage to catch a couple of small flatheads, so all was not lost.

Water temp was 68 degrees, so getting very close to perfect! Who knows what it will be now though, after all this rain!:eek:oooh:

Its against the law to catch flatheads on green beetle spins, they have to be released immediatly.Pink ones are ok though.

Got my first of the year.A little 2 lb baby. There where a whole bunch of them swimming on the flooded bank trying to stay out the current. They were gasping for air at the top of the water.

The river is the highest i ever seen it. I cant even make it to my creek spot.Unless i want to swim there.

I caught it on chopped goldfish.

I'm the type of guy that would drown in 6 feet of water!!! I'm going to try my cousin into swimming across it.

I feel sorta stupid for spending so much on my trolling motor when all I had to do was tie my cousin to the front of the boat.:eek:oooh:

Cousins an energetic fellow, I'd rate him about a 55 lb. thrust model...........dependable but a little loud, runs in the family:wink:

    That's funny...

Now I sorta fill bad for turning my best buddy Larry into a go-devil when I got stuck in the mud at perry.Poor guy striped down to his shorts and pushed us for 50yrds in 48 degree water.

But hey, he caught all the fish that day so must of been his pay back for all I put him through that day..:smile2:
