First Crappie

    The lake I fish is full of crappie, but we've never really caught any. Couple Sundays ago, we hit a lil warm spell and the bass knew it. So I was throwing out a big 1/4oz. spinner bait, and as I was pulling it along a weed bed, a crappie hit it. As soon as i pulled it out though, the hook fell out and i had to grab it before it could swim off, those spines hurt! My little brother Gus also caught a pretty nice bass, 1.5 lbs. Here are some pics.

    congrats on your first crappie (looks like hed fit on a biscuit)nice bass also.weather is still funky up here in indiana wont be long though

    Congrats on catching your first crappie. You should try and use some minnows and you could probably catch a mess of them.

    coongrats on that crappie. you should also try using different jigs and stuff and keep working it around them weeds.

    congrats,mine beside catfish they are one of the best fish to catch a far as size vs fight.good luck hope ya get a bunch more;)
