I went squirrel/rabbit hunting today and while I was coming back from my hunt, my buddy put on a rabbit liver from one he'd shot and threw it in his pond. I ended up catching the fish, a 4 lb. catfish. The pond had ice on it this morning, but the temperature got up to around 60 today. The pole had been in the water for about an hour before the fish bit. You can throw across the pond, so you can imagine how lethargic the fish were today. God bless.

I have a friend that uses Jack rabbit meat. It seems to work pretty good.

Thats pretty neat!! I can't believe you are catching catfish in a pond with ice cover.

I don't see why it wouldn't work, Catfish seem to just one big nose and they like bloody stuff.

    Try:

Grinding all the squirels guts up, Then fish with some of the left over guts. See they won't know the difference between whats in the water and what thier gonna bite down on!!!!

    Hope this work for you
