me and my partner jim (Mr Flathead) headed out to SaltFork today, i was laughing at him when we left because he took to little bull heads with him for bait, ive never had a bite on the dang things, all he said was keep laughing youll see, i just said yea right ill stick with my big goldfish
well at about 8.35pm his reel took off, 5 minutes later 47.6lb flathead:eek:oooh:
and about a hour later it took off again! this one ran into a snag and broke off
as for me and my goldfish not one run, bite, nada.....
well im glad he only had 2 of those things otherwise he would of made me look reel bad, because all we had after that were my goldfish and we went 3 more hours and nada needless to say ill be using a bullhead or 2 next time
and i guess why not a pic of it,,that i took lol

Nice fish Gentlemen. Are you planning to grace us with your presence this coming weekend, or do I have to hunt you down? Y'all don't have to fish with us, but as nice a guy as Jim White was to me last year, I would be very disappointed if you two didn't show up at least for a little BS session.

The flathead fishing started to pick up again last year at saltfork, the water levels have been pretty stable after the drawdown 3 yrs ago,lot of 40 lb + flats in the lake, hope everybody practices CPR there are a few state record fish in these muskingnum watershed lakes for sure
